This pair of wall sconces, designed by Motoko Ishi for German manufacturer Staff Leuchten in the 1970s, is a compelling example of space age and late modernist aesthetics. Each sconce features an octagonal, faceted base made from highly polished, chromed plastic, with sharp, geometric lines and a subtle black accent along the bottom edge. The glass shade is clear with a slight smoky tint, taking on a multifaceted, diamond-like form that echoes the base’s geometry.
