This pair of decorative chopsticks from the 1950s is an example of Chinese applied art where the traditional cloisonné technique meets refined form. The main body is crafted from a milky-white conglomerate, closely imitating ivory with a smooth, satin-matte finish and subtle veining. The upper sections are adorned with vibrant cloisonné enamel in a deep cobalt blue, featuring flowers in white and cream, accented by gold and red touches as well as green leaves. The enamel has a pronounced glossy finish, providing a striking contrast to the softly matte shaft, while the transition is marked by fine filigree metal rings. The set is presented in its original rectangular case: externally, black silk patterned with copper-red floral motifs; inside, pale silvery satin and vivid red velvet lining. Both the chopsticks and the box are in very good condition, without visible signs of wear—every element is authentic and complete.
