This pair of table lamps, designed by Helena Tynell in the 1960s for the German manufacturer Limburg, exemplifies mid-century modern aesthetics. Each lamp features a hand-blown bubble glass globe in a warm, light amber or champagne hue, with a glossy, almost translucent finish. The glass is richly textured with rounded, raised bubbles, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow and enhancing the lamps' sculptural quality. The bases, made of plastic with a cool, muted grey satin finish, are shaped in a flared, trumpet-like form that elegantly supports the globe. A slender brass-colored ring accents the transition between globe and base. Both lamps are fitted with white cords and inline switches, and take E14 bulbs. Each lamp stands 27 cm tall with a globe diameter of 16 cm. Both are in excellent vintage condition: the glass is flawless, bases have been freshly recoated, and the set has undergone professional cleaning and maintenance.
