This pair of table lamps by Pell and Putzler from the 1950s exemplifies German design where construction and materials achieve the poised harmony characteristic of mid-century modern. The bases are crafted from polished chrome metal with a cool, mirrored finish, topped with a cuboid section of pressed, clear crystal glass that diffuses light and accentuates the geometric quality of the project. The original lampshades—slightly conical and made from matte, off-white textile—are decorated with delicate grey linear abstract patterns. The lamps feature E27 sockets and white power cords; the proportions between the base height (23 cm without shade, 34 cm with shade) and the shade diameter (24 cm) create a balanced, neutral silhouette. The set is preserved in excellent condition, with no visible damage or signs of wear.
