This set of two table lamps in the Mid-Century Modern style, dating from the 1960s and 1970s, exemplifies the era’s approach to form and function. The lamps feature molded plastic bases in a creamy, slightly glossy finish, shaped into a tulip-like, organically flowing profile. The cylindrical fabric shades stand out with their saturated, vivid red color, matte surface, and subtle woven texture. The construction is seamless, with no visible joints or screws, expressing the modernist attention to detail and minimalist design. When switched on, the lamps emit a softly diffused, warm light, and their measured proportions underscore their timeless design. Both lamps are preserved in very good vintage condition, showing only minor signs of use—small scuffs on the shades and a delicate patina on the bases. One lamp has a minor paint chip on the underside of the base, invisible when displayed.These lamps capture the spirit of European modernism from the 1960s and 1970s, a period when designers sought harmony between organic lines and practical utility.
