ABOUT PRODUCTID 26663
This pair of table lamps from the 1970s, crafted from hand-blown Murano glass, features spherical shades measuring 23 cm in diameter and 25 cm in height. The glass is a smoky, translucent brown interlaced with clear spiral bands, creating a dynamic, striped effect. The glossy surface enhances the play of reflections, while the matte chrome-plated bases provide a modernist contrast to the organic lines of the globes. Attention to detail is evident: the shades are precisely seated, the swirl pattern is even and consistent, and the cords are finished with a twisted fabric covering. Each lamp accommodates a single E27 bulb. Both lamps are in very good vintage condition—minor signs of use are visible on the bases only, the glass is free of cracks or chips, and the metal shows minimal patina. These lamps evoke the spirit of Italian craftsmanship from the 1970s: the glass appears to swirl, as if it wanted to capture a fragment of light and the breath of the space age era. The spiral motif recalls the movement of molten lava, while the cool brown glass filters the glow, allowing the light to gently spill into the surroundings. The chromed bases introduce a touch of modernist discipline—as if the lamps themselves suggest that there is softness to be found within geometric forms. The pair can be used as a symmetrical accent on a console, sideboard, or low table in the living room, where their twin shapes reinforce a contemporary or eclectic interior. They pair well with mid-century modern furniture, fine wood, low sofas, or minimalist ceramics. Alternatively, they can be placed on either side of a bed in a 1970s-inspired bedroom
