This pair of New Look style table lamps, produced by Napaco in Prague in the 1960s, exemplifies Czech modernism and the refined sense of form characteristic of the decade. The lamp bodies are crafted from highly polished chrome-plated steel, while the spherical shades are made of layered glass in a warm ecru tone, adorned with irregular veining in light brown and gold. The matte surface of the glass diffuses light softly, creating a gentle glow, while the substantial round bases in chrome-plated metal provide stability. Each lamp features a white rotary plastic switch and twisted black fabric cords that accentuate their vintage appeal. Each lamp measures 24 cm in height, with both base and shade diameter at 13.5 cm.
