This pair of Danish modernist wall candleholders from the 1970s, produced by Ferro Art, exemplifies mid-century modern craftsmanship. Each sconce is constructed from welded iron rods arranged in a rectilinear, geometric grid. At the centerpiece of each holder is a rectangular glass tile—on the left, an azure blue with a marbled, semi-transparent texture; on the right, a deep, glossy cobalt shade. The iron frames are finished in a matte silver-grey with a lightly brushed surface and subtle industrial patina. Circular iron elements punctuate the grid, adding rhythm and balance, while a welded iron cup at the base provides space for a candle. One sconce retains the original manufacturer's label from Kerrn Jespersen Lyngby Kunst, authenticating the set. The welds are clean and uniform, highlighting high handmade quality. Only minimal traces of use consistent with an 'excellent' vintage condition are visible. These candleholders echo the voice of Danish modernism of the 1970s, when artistic abstraction intertwined with industrial utility.
