This pair of wall lamps by Kaiser Leuchten, made in Germany in the 1960s, exemplifies the precise modernism characteristic of the era. Each fixture features heavy, pressed crystal glass shades sculpted into a geometric block pattern, giving the surface a distinct, almost architectural relief. A central vertical band of polished chrome contrasts with the semi-gloss, deeply textured glass, resulting in a sharp, hexagonal profile. The materials – premium crystal glass and chrome-plated metal – are seamlessly integrated, with no visible fasteners on the front. The lamps measure 21 cm in height, 15.5 cm in width, and 6.5 cm in depth. Condition is very good: minor wear is visible only on the metal bases, which is not noticeable when mounted; there are no chips or discoloration in the glass.

The cool, transparent glass with a subtle icy tint evokes the optimism of the postwar era, while the stark chrome accentuates the architectural clarity of the form. When lit, the sculpted crystal diffuses light in a gentle, multifaceted way, as if each lamp were capturing a fragment of daylight within translucent glass blocks.
They can be paired with walnut or rosewood furnishings to highlight the material contrast typical of mid-century modern interiors, or used as geometric accents in minimalist settings. Suitable for placement above a
