This pair of wall lights by Baulmann Leuchten, manufactured in Germany in the 1990s, exemplifies late modernist minimalism. The construction is based on cylindrical lampshades of matte white metal, densely perforated with fine round holes that subtly diffuse the light and add tactile texture. High-gloss chrome-plated brass forms accents on the lamp trims, connection details, and the supporting arms (reaching 60 cm in length); the wall base is also finished in white to match the shades. Each lamp features a movable shade for precise directional lighting, as well as a discreetly integrated on/off push-button on the base. The metalwork is crafted to a high standard, with seamless joints and precision throughout. Standard E14 lamp sockets allow for versatility in bulb choices.
