ABOUT PRODUCTID 29560
This pair of wall lights by Helena Tynell for Limburg, created in the 1970s, represents a quintessential example of mid-century modern lighting. The hand-blown bubble glass shades display a highly three-dimensional structure, composed of numerous rounded protrusions of varying sizes that give the surface a sculptural depth. The glass is rendered in a light amber tone with subtle golden hues, creating a champagne-like appearance and a rich play of reflections. The glossy texture of the glass enhances light diffusion, while the partially visible brass base introduces a warm metallic accent. Both lamps are nearly square in proportion (23 x 23 cm), with a depth of 12 cm, balancing clean geometric lines with the organic motif of bubbles. The precise craftsmanship is apparent in the seamless integration of materials and the overall clarity of form. Condition is excellent – only minimal patina and slight wear on the brass bases, consistent with age, and no visible damage or chips to the glass.
These wall lights evoke the lightness and optimism of the 1970s, a time when lighting was designed to both illuminate
