ABOUT PRODUCTID 29444
This pair of mid-century Scandinavian wall lights, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced in Sweden (Markaryd) in the 1960s, exemplifies the era's minimalist approach. Model V-324 is crafted from polished brass, imparting a warm golden tone and a distinctive mirror-like finish. The cylindrical shades are seamless and smooth, while the interior is coated in black, providing a striking contrast and directing the light downward. Both the mounting arm and bracket are also fashioned from brass, maintaining a cohesive color palette. The construction displays clean lines and invisible joints, in keeping with the Scandinavian modernist ethos. Each sconce features an adjustable bracket to precisely direct light where needed and accommodates one E14 bulb (max 40 W). The pair is preserved in excellent vintage condition, with only minor scratches and a gentle patina consistent with age and careful use.
These wall lights echo the voice of 1960s Northern Europe: simplicity of form balanced with material refinement. The polished brass reflects light like a summer lake, while the black interior of the shades gathers
