ABOUT PRODUCTID 29737
This pair of Scandinavian wall lights designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Ellysett (Sweden, 1970s) is a striking example of mid-century modern experimentation with both form and color. Each lamp features wide, curved strips of orange plastic, mounted on a light, natural wood frame. The cascading, overlapping arrangement of the plastic creates a visually dynamic, almost sculptural silhouette. The matte finish of the plastic contrasts with the smooth, pale wood of the frame, highlighting the Scandinavian simplicity and the bold chromatic choice. The overall shape is rectangular with gently rounded edges, and the visible screws securing the plastic to the wooden base emphasize the handcrafted, precise construction. This is a rare plastic version of the V 311 model—most examples were produced in wood. The original labels remain intact, confirming authenticity. The lamps are in very good vintage condition, with only minimal signs of age-related wear on the plastic and wood, and no cracks or discoloration.
These lights speak with the voice of the 1970s, an era when Scandinavian design allowed itself
