This pair of Scandinavian wall lights designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Ellysett (Sweden, 1970s) is a striking example of mid-century modern experimentation with both form and color. Each lamp features wide, curved strips of orange plastic, mounted on a light, natural wood frame. The cascading, overlapping arrangement of the plastic creates a visually dynamic, almost sculptural silhouette. The matte finish of the plastic contrasts with the smooth, pale wood of the frame, highlighting the Scandinavian simplicity and the bold chromatic choice.
