This pair of wall sconces from Germany, dating to the 1970s, exemplifies minimalist lighting design characteristic of the modernist movement of that era. Each sconce features a cylindrical metal tube in a deep, bottle green hue with a high-gloss finish, open at both ends and capped at the rear with a polished gold-toned metal hemisphere. Mounting elements are made of brushed steel with a matte, slightly textured surface, providing a visual contrast to the glossy green and bright gold. Exposed mounting screws at the base and where the tube meets the stem emphasize the industrial aspect, situating the design within the Bauhaus and mid-century modern idioms. Designed for E27 bulbs (not included), the sconces measure 20 cm in height, 7 cm in width, and 30 cm in depth.
