ABOUT PRODUCTID 29478
This pair of wall sconces, designed by Helena Tynell for the German manufacturer Limburg during the late 1960s and early 1970s, exemplifies the Space Age aesthetic with clear mid-century modern influences. Each sconce features hand-blown glass in a transparent, cool tone with subtle greenish and grey hues. The highly polished surface is adorned with a distinctive bubble motif, composed of raised, rounded forms of varying sizes, arranged in a geometric pattern. The shades have a rectangular silhouette with softly rounded corners, while the chrome-plated metal base is visible through the glass, adding a refined, silvery accent. The precise craftsmanship is evident in the seamless transition between glass and metal elements and in the small, rounded chrome finial at the bottom. Designed for wall mounting, each sconce accommodates a single E27 bulb (up to 60 W, including LED). Condition is very good: the glass is free of damage, and the chrome elements show only minimal signs of age consistent with careful use. The listed price refers to the set of two sconces.
