A pair of wall sconces designed by Jo Hammerborg for the Danish brand Fog & Mørup is a mature example of mid-century modern design from the 1960s. The Scandinavian spirit is evident in the bold silhouette: each sconce consists of three overlapping, stylized leaves cut and formed from solid brass in a warm, golden hue. The finish is semi-matte with subtle tonal transitions from deep gold to almost silvery highlights, while the irregular, textured edges and visible soldering marks underscore the handcrafted, brutalist roots of the concept. The sculptural form is supported by geometric brass arms. Both sconces are preserved in excellent vintage condition, with no dents or deep scratches—only a natural, noble patina and minor signs of age that enhance the object's authenticity.
