This pair of Catellani & Smith wall sconces from the 1990s exemplifies Italian postmodern lighting design. Each lamp features a sculptural, irregularly crumpled shade made of highly polished brass with a deep golden tone. The surface of the shade is evenly perforated with small holes, allowing light to filter through and cast a distinctive interplay of light and shadow. The flexible gooseneck arms, also in brass, provide adjustable positioning, while the cool, glossy chromed steel wall mounts create a sharp material contrast. The sconces offer practical adjustability and accept E27 light bulbs. Dimensions: height 75 cm, width 35 cm, depth 35 cm. The condition is very good vintage, with minor traces of oxidation on the brass but no damage or restoration marks.
