This pair of adjustable wall sconces by Knapstein, crafted in Germany in the 1980s, exemplifies precise workmanship and balanced modernism. The lamp bodies are made from high-quality brass with a warm, satin gold finish that evenly reflects light and accentuates the smoothness of the surface. The trapezoidal shades are adorned with three parallel grooves along the front edge—a subtle nod to Art Deco vocabulary. Straight, cylindrical arms connect to square, solid wall mounts, reinforcing the geometric, minimalist character of the design. Each sconce features a rotatable shade and an adjustable arm with a 45 cm reach, allowing for precise directional lighting. E27 lamp holders ensure compatibility with a wide range of bulbs, and the original Osram bulbs are included. The construction is robust and stable, with visible, well-crafted joints.
