This pair of wall sconces, designed by Willy Daro in Belgium in the 1970s, exemplifies the Hollywood Regency style with pronounced mid-century modern and Space Age influences. Each lamp is crafted from fire-gilded brass, shaped into a stylized five-pointed leaf motif. The smooth, mirror-like golden surface is enhanced with hand-engraved, copper-gold veins that add depth and textural nuance. The edges of the leaves are gently curved, lending the lamps a sculptural, three-dimensional quality. At the center of each piece is a single light source, shielded by a polished, spherical brass cover. The construction is defined by precise soldered joints and seamless transitions between elements.
