This pair of wall sconces, produced in Germany in the 1960s, exemplifies Stilnovo-inspired lighting within the mid-century modern aesthetic. The design features gilded steel with a warm golden hue, displaying areas of gloss and matte patina resulting from natural oxidation over time. Each sconce is fitted with three slender, conical shades, delicately perforated at the top to create a subtle decorative accent while softly diffusing the light. The shades are mounted on gently curved arms, which attach to a rounded rectangular backplate. The proportions are well-balanced: 46 cm in height, 23 cm in width, and 19 cm in depth. Both sconces are equipped with E14 sockets and a new electrical installation. Notably, the height of the shades can be adjusted. Their condition is distinctly worn, with visible oxidation and scratches throughout—characteristic of authentic 1960s vintage pieces.
