ABOUT PRODUCTID 5183
This handled centerpiece bowl on pedestal, created in the 1920s in Moravská Třebová, Czech Republic, exemplifies the fine craftsmanship of the František Bibus & Son manufactory. The body, made of repoussé brass silver-plated to a matte, slightly satin finish, features a scalloped rim with raised neoclassical motifs and stylized acanthus leaves. Inside sits a removable amber glass insert, its warm golden hue and glossy surface enhanced by cut geometric and botanical patterns. Two symmetrically placed handles, richly adorned with rosettes and scrollwork, echo the late historicist and early Art Deco influences. The wide pedestal base is decorated with a repeating relief; the proportions are low and elongated, with gracefully arched handles. The underside bears the manufacturer's mark, confirming authenticity. The piece is preserved in very good condition, showing only minimal traces of use and a well-maintained original patina. The contours of this bowl speak with the voice of the 1920s—a period when classical
