This Polish pendant lamp from the 1920s is a clear expression of the Art Deco idiom. The shade is crafted from marble glass in a creamy hue with a subtle yellow undertone, animated by irregular veins of gray and brown. The shade takes on a profiled, geometric form with stepped and faceted details that channel light in a way characteristic of the era’s pursuit of symmetry and clarity. A slender brass suspension rod with a softly matte patina, along with the mounting ring and finely joined visible screws, set up a measured contrast with the refined glass.
