This Danish pendant lamp, designed by Bent Karlby for Lyfa in the 1970s, is composed of concentric, horizontally stacked metal discs in a warm golden-copper finish. The satin, semi-matte surface gently reflects light, while the undersides of the discs are finished in white to enhance even diffusion and create a soft, ambient glow. The construction is precise, with seamless joints and no visible screws, highlighting the craftsmanship behind the design. The lamp directs light downward, outward, and upward, creating a layered illumination effect. It is suspended from a black textile cord with a new metal ceiling rose.
