This pendant lamp from Germany, dating to the 1980s, features a composition of four thick, clear glass shades with sculptural, faceted surfaces, mounted on a sturdy wooden beam. The wooden base, finished in a warm, medium-brown tone with pronounced wood grain, is enhanced by a satin to semi-gloss finish. The glass shades, reminiscent of starbursts or crystalline clusters, diffuse light into complex reflections. The entire fixture is suspended from a metal rod with a chrome or nickel-plated finish, which connects to a cylindrical, highly polished metal ceiling canopy. Visible screws and precise joinery testify to the craftsmanship typical of the era. The lamp is in good vintage condition, displaying natural traces of use—such as mild matting on the canopy and subtle wear on the wooden bar—characteristic of original pieces from the 1980s.
