This pendant lamp is a classic example of the Brusel style from the 1960s, designed by Jaroslav Antonin Junek for Zukov, commissioned by Napaco in Czechoslovakia. The elongated teardrop-shaped shade, crafted from semi-translucent milky white glass by the glassworks in Międzyrzecze Wołoskie (Krasno), is hand-decorated using a selective spray technique—making each piece unique. Fine vertical black lines run along the surface, creating a subtle striped motif that accentuates the lamp’s elegant silhouette. The upper part of the shade and the ceiling canopy feature a deep matte black finish, providing a striking contrast to the luminous glass. The lamp is fitted with an E27 socket and a newly replaced electrical installation for safe operation. Adjustable suspension allows the lamp’s height to be tailored to various interiors. The lamp is in very good vintage condition, with no visible damage or signs of heavy use.This design embodies the spirit of 1960s Czechoslovak modernism, when geometric clarity, functionalism, and material innovation defined everyday objects.
