ABOUT PRODUCTID 6658
The Helestra pendant lamp is a genuine example of German design from the 1970s, reflecting the principles of mid-century modern aesthetics. The model features a wide, shallow conical shade (52 cm in diameter) crafted from matte, milky glass in a warm, light beige tone. The upper part comprises highly polished chrome-plated metal elements: a cylindrical ceiling canopy, a decorative ring, and a height-adjustable rod (60–160 cm), complemented by a coiled black cable. The construction follows a functionalist approach—emphasizing purity of line and robust workmanship, with visible metal joints underscoring the precision of craftsmanship. The lamp requires an E27 bulb. It is preserved in good vintage condition, with no significant signs of wear and all original components intact. This lamp’s form evokes the ambience of German interiors in the early 1970s, when the focus was on light, material, and simplicity. The opalescent glass diffuses illumination, creating a soft, even glow. Chrome details reflect their surroundings, introducing a subtle interplay of light and shadow—as if the lamp recounts an era that valued both practicality and restrained elegance. It is an object that seems to whisper of quiet evenings and modernist poise, integrating harmoniously into its setting without demanding attention. The Helestra lamp can be suspended above a dining table, where the matte glass ensures comfortable, glare-free lighting, or in a spacious living room as a central feature. It pairs well with furnishings of simple form, chrome or lacquered accents, and textiles in warm whites and beiges. Interiors styled in mid-century, Scandinavian, or eclectic
