ABOUT PRODUCTID 23927
This pendant lamp, produced by the renowned Lustry Kamenický Šenov manufactory in Czechoslovakia during the 1950s, exemplifies refined post-war modernism. Its construction features a slender brass frame with a matte-satin finish and natural patina, visible mounting screws, and a decorative black finial at the base. Six conical, creamy-yellow glass shades radiate symmetrically from the central hub, forming a harmonious geometric composition. The shades have a glossy, subtly translucent surface that gently diffuses light. Designed for six E27 bulbs, the lamp delivers strong, even illumination. It measures 75 cm in height and 45 cm in width. The lamp is in very good condition—glass is intact with no cracks or chips, and the brass shows age-appropriate patina. This lamp vividly echoes the voice of the 1950s, a period when Czech design sought a balance between functionality and ornament, creating objects with a subtle yet confident presence. The brass rod and canopy suggest solidity, while the shades—like the rays of an illuminated fan—speak to the optimism of post-war reconstruction. The natural patina on the brass is a testament to the passage of time, while the smooth, luminous glass invites interplay of light and shadow. The lamp can be paired with teak wood furniture, geometric side tables, or upholstered armchairs from the same era. It would work well above a dining table in the living room, providing ample illumination, but also in a hallway or an elegant foyer. Interiors in mid-century modern, modern classic,
