The Moon pendant lamp is an example of Danish 1960s design, attributed to Werner Schou. Its construction features concentric, movable crescent-shaped copper elements with a warm, slightly reddish tone and a natural patina. Transparent acrylic outer rings add lightness and emphasize the geometric, spherical silhouette. The copper surfaces display a semi-gloss finish, and a repetitive diamond perforation pattern softly filters the light. Precise joints and visible screws demonstrate quality craftsmanship, while the glass core houses the light source. The lamp’s diameter and height, both 34 cm, form a perfect sphere. It is preserved in very good vintage condition: thoroughly cleaned, fitted with a new cord, and supplied with a new metal ceiling rose.Moon tells the story of Scandinavian modernism, where function meets form and light interacts with material to create an evocative mood.
