The Orient pendant lamp, designed by Jo Hammerborg in the 1960s, is a balanced example of Danish modernism. Its elongated teardrop-shaped shade is crafted from brushed aluminum in a cool, satin silver tone, subtly reflecting light without excessive gloss. The upper section features a matte, almost black metal cone, visually separated from the main body by a precise row of small ventilation holes—both a practical and decorative element. A wooden ring finishes the transition, while the bottom is closed with a ribbed acrylic diffuser in a warm, off-white shade, ensuring soft and uniform light diffusion. The lamp is suspended from a black textile cord approximately two meters long, allowing flexible adjustment of hanging height.
