The PH 4/3 pendant lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen in 1966 for Louis Poulsen. Crafted from powder-coated aluminium in a unified, pure white tone with a matte finish, both the shades and suspension elements are visually consistent. Its distinctive three-tiered shade construction—composed of concentric, overlapping disks—emits evenly diffused, glare-free light in all directions. The lamp is devoid of any visible mounting hardware, highlighting the clarity of its composition. Subtle minimalism is emphasised by a thin, white textile cord and an understated, concealed ceiling rose. Harmonious proportions, the smoothness of the aluminium and the geometric rhythm of the shades express its Scandinavian origin and the essence of 1960s modernism. Preserved in excellent condition: the surface is pristine, and both the cord and installation components are new.The PH 4/3 embodies the ethos of an era in which light itself became an integral architectural element.
