The PH 5 pendant lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 and produced by Louis Poulsen in Denmark during the 1960s, exemplifies the essence of Scandinavian modernism. The entire structure is crafted from aluminum, featuring multiple broad, concentric shades with smoothly rolled edges. The primary hue is a matte red with a subtle orange undertone, complemented by a soft, matte white on the uppermost and inner surfaces. Slender connecting rods in a muted lavender-blue introduce a refined, yet distinctive color accent. Suspended from a white textile cord (with the ceiling canopy not visible in the images), the lamp measures 50 cm in diameter and 27.6 cm in height. The construction is seamless, free from visible screws or joints, reinforcing the purity of its form. The aluminum finish is matte with a gentle satin sheen, highlighting the interplay of light and shadow.
