The PH 5 pendant lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen and produced by Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen in the 1970s, exemplifies the essence of Scandinavian modernism. Its construction is entirely metal, featuring harmonious, concentric, plate-like shades. The exterior is finished in a matte, cool violet with subdued saturation, while the interior reveals white and soft blue surfaces. These contrasting hues enhance light diffusion, lending the lamp both functional and refined qualities characteristic of mid-century Danish design. The lamp’s surface is smooth and even, with crisp, precise edges that reflect meticulous craftsmanship. It is suspended from an original white cord, 110 cm in length. The model does not include a ceiling rose and is fitted for an E27 bulb. Condition: very good, with original finish preserved and only minor signs of use in the form of small scratches.
