ABOUT PRODUCTID 5728
This pendant lamp, produced by Polam Meos in Wieliczka in the 1960s, represents a distinctive example of Polish design influenced by the Pop Art movement. The shade is made of layered, profiled glass in a warm, milky white tone with a glossy finish. Its smooth, light-reflecting surface accentuates the wide, rounded body that tapers towards the top and bottom. The lower edge of the shade features a decorative, undulating wave pattern—an organic detail that breaks the regularity of the form and adds a playful, mid-century character. The top of the shade is finished with a black, conical metal cap and a matching black suspension cord, emphasizing its retro appeal. The lamp is fitted with an E27 bulb socket and offers adjustable hanging height. The electrical installation has been replaced for safety. Dimensions: shade height 20 cm (83 cm with suspension), diameter 28 cm. Condition: excellent, with no damage to the glass or visible signs of wear.
This lamp evokes the spirit of the 1960s—a period when Polish interiors began to embrace new colors, lighting, and soft lines inspired by Western Pop Art. The profiled glass narrates a search for lightness and optimism in everyday life, while the wavy edge references a design language where playful forms expressed creative
