ABOUT PRODUCTID 1933
This pendant lamp by Polam Meos was produced in Wieliczka during the 1960s and stands as a striking example of Polish Pop Art lighting design. The model features a sculptural shade made from layered, molded glass in a saturated, warm yellow hue. The glass surface is smooth and glossy, giving the form a distinctly modern, almost abstract purity, while the bold, rounded, tiered contours create a dynamic silhouette typical of mid-century aesthetics. The lamp is suspended from a black cord with a matte canopy and fitting, providing a subtle contrast to the glossy glass and reinforcing the clarity of the design. It is fitted with an E27 socket and offers adjustable hanging height; the electrical installation has been replaced. The lamp is preserved in very good condition, with no visible signs of wear and retaining its authentic vintage character. The form of this lamp evokes the lightness and boldness of the 1960s, when color and geometric shapes served as a manifesto of optimism and new energy in the postwar era. The yellow shade appears to transform light into a luminous accent, embodying the spirit of Pop Art experimentation—a reflection of a time when vivid color and soft curves were an invitation
