The Semi pendant lamp, designed by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup for the Danish manufacturer Fog & Mørup in 1967, is presented here in its largest version with an impressive 70 cm diameter. The shade is crafted from aluminum with a golden chrome finish, featuring a highly reflective, mirror-like surface that lacks visible texture. The interior is lacquered white to maximize light reflection, emphasizing the lamp's functional side. The form suggests an open trumpet or chalice—geometric yet fluid, a hallmark of Danish modernism from the 1960s and 70s. Suspended by a thin, almost invisible cable, the lamp appears to float, enhancing the sense of lightness in the space. The Semi model, recognized for its restrained, organic line, was produced in several sizes, but this monumental version was especially distinctive in interiors of the era. The condition is very good—the polished surface shows minimal signs of wear, the wiring has been replaced, and the lamp is fully operational.
