This Trava-type pendant lamp from the 1960s represents the Scandinavian approach to design, where functionality is paired with a bold, geometric form. The construction is based on three horizontally stacked cylinders: the upper and lower sections are made of brushed aluminum in a cool, matte silver tone, while the central segment is finished in a glossy, deep black. The proportions are carefully considered, with flared, symmetrical shapes highlighting the coherence and strict simplicity characteristic of mid-century modern and Scandinavian minimalism. Suspended from a black cord, the lamp’s finely textured aluminum and lustrous black surfaces create a restrained yet striking composition.
