This pendant lamp, designed by Jørgen Høj for Holmegaard, is a representative example of 1970s Danish space age design. The entire construction is made of metal, finished in a vibrant, high-gloss orange lacquer that covers both the exterior and interior of the wide, dome-shaped shade. The silhouette is flat and expansive, with no visible joints or unnecessary decorative elements, placing emphasis on clean, geometric lines.
