The 'Spider' pendant lamp from the 1980s is an example of avant-garde lighting design characteristic of the space age era. Its construction features a central polished chrome sphere, from which sixteen slender, arched arms radiate outward, each ending in a minimalist 12V bulb socket. The entire piece is finished in a cool, mirror-like silver that strongly reflects light and its surroundings, lending the lamp a bold, industrial tone. Measuring 80 cm in width with an adjustable total height of 70–100 cm (lamp body height: 50 cm), the lamp appears surprisingly airy for its size thanks to its fine proportions and the elegance of the bent arms. It is preserved in very good vintage condition—only minor signs of use such as slight surface scratches or a delicate patina on the chrome are visible, with no major damage or missing parts. The 'Spider' lamp echoes the fascination of the 1980s with modernity, technology, and daring geometry.
