The Verona pendant lamp, designed by Svend Middelboe for Fog & Mørup in 1962, exemplifies refined Scandinavian modernism. Crafted from matte enamelled aluminium in a cool white shade with a subtle warm undertone, it features six concentric, horizontally layered rings of varying diameters, arranged to form a harmonious, tiered structure. Each ring gently curves downward, with the whole construction free from visible joints or decorative accents—visual impact comes solely from the interplay of light and shadow on the layers. The lamp ensures soft, evenly diffused illumination, casting light both upwards and downwards for visual comfort within the interior. The surface is smooth and uniformly matte, and the proportions are carefully balanced, presenting a minimalist, almost floating form. The wiring has been replaced and checked by an electrician.
