This pendant lamp by AV Mazzega, dating from the 1970s, exemplifies the artistry of Italian Murano glassmaking within the mid-century modern movement. The hand-blown shade features a sculptural, undulating form in highly polished, transparent glass, accented by swirling ribbons of opaque white that create a striking bicolor effect. The lower rim is finished with a series of pointed, droplet-like protrusions, adding decorative expression and tactile depth. The lamp is suspended from a cylindrical chrome-plated metal fitting, which provides secure mounting and subtly highlights the design’s industrial undertone. Measuring 90 cm in height and 30 cm in diameter, the piece is in very good vintage condition: the glass is free from cracks or chips, the metal shows only minimal traces of age, and the construction is solid, with stable connections throughout.
