This French perfume bottle, dating from circa 1900, exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of the Belle Époque, combining cut crystal glass with silver fittings. The flattened, cylindrical body is adorned with regular, vertical concave fluting (cannelures), which diffuses light across the surface and creates an interplay of depth and luminosity. The base features a starburst rosette cut, visible through the thick, stable bottom. The neck and cap are mounted with polished, slightly patinated silver, hallmarked with French silver marks. An additional inner glass stopper ensures airtight closure, while the outer cap is decorated with an engraved acanthus leaf motif—an Art Nouveau detail typical of the turn of the 20th century. The seamless construction and quality of finish reflect precise workmanship and excellent preservation: there are no visible damages, chips, or signs of heavy wear; the piece is in very good condition.
