A handwoven Persian kilim from the late 19th or early 20th century, crafted from natural, handspun wool. The palette is earthy and warm: deep, muted burgundy, dark brown and black vertical stripes, with ochre and beige accents forming geometric diamond patterns on the pocket flaps. The kilim’s form is rectangular and functional, distinguished by spacious pockets at both ends, each edged with contrasting burgundy stitching. Every corner is finished with a thick black tassel, subtly highlighted with red. The texture is coarse and robust, the weave tight and even, and the visible hand-stitched seams securing the pockets emphasize the authenticity of the piece. Dimensions (excluding fringes): 103 × 40 cm. The kilim is preserved in very good vintage condition, showing only minor signs of use, with no significant damage or repairs. All elements remain original and true to their traditional character. This kilim embodies the story of Persian tribal life, where practicality is woven together with ornamentation.
