ABOUT PRODUCTID 17940
This hand-knotted Persian rug from Isfahan, Iran, dates to the 1990s and is crafted from high-quality Kashmiri wool with a silk foundation and silk blend. The central field is rendered in a deep, cool-toned crimson, featuring a complex, multicolored medallion with botanical and arabesque motifs in shades of ivory, light blue, navy, gold, green, and rose. The wide border is predominantly navy blue, richly decorated with floral patterns in beige, gold, and pink, and framed by several lighter guard stripes. The surface has a subtle sheen, characteristic of silk-blend rugs, which enhances the vibrancy of the palette. The pile is exceptionally fine and smooth, with a knot density of approximately 1 million knots per square meter.
