This vintage Persian Kashan rug, hand-knotted in Iran during the 1960s, is crafted from high-quality wool on a cotton foundation, exemplifying the classic aesthetics of Persian textile art. The matte, soft surface is dominated by a wide field of saturated carmine red, animated by the natural 'abrash' effect—subtle, horizontal tonal transitions created by the use of different batches of vegetable-dyed yarn.
