ABOUT PRODUCTID 9503
This Murano glass pheasant figurine from the 1960s, attributed to Alfredo Barbini, exemplifies the artistry of Italian glassmaking. Crafted using the bullicante technique—where controlled air bubbles are embedded within the glass—the sculpture features a deep, translucent ruby red body with golden amber highlights. The long, upward-sweeping tail showcases a multicolored gradient—yellow, blue, green, white, and orange—arranged in a swirling, marbled pattern. The glass is highly polished and glossy, with a clear base containing golden-yellow inclusions that mimic textured ground. The head is delicately shaped, with a transparent crest and beak and subtle details around the comb. The form is characterized by elongated, dynamic proportions and seamless color transitions, with no visible joins. There is a minor chip at the tip of the tail, but overall the figurine is preserved in very good condition, with no significant scratches or other signs of age.
