This late 19th-century French photo frame is crafted from gilded brass, its surface showing a warm, gently aged gold tone with a matte to subtly satin finish. Measuring 17.5 cm in height, 9 cm in width, and 10 cm in depth, the frame features a slender, vertical rectangular silhouette with minimalist straight lines. The front is adorned with an openwork garland motif culminating in a stylized bow—an emblematic detail of French neoclassical decorative arts from the 1880s, subtly hinting at early Art Nouveau influences. Two solid spherical brass feet provide geometric balance and stability, offsetting the frame’s delicate proportions.
