ABOUT PRODUCTID 1698
This French photo frame, dating from circa 1880–1890, presents a classic standing form crafted from gilded brass with a warm, lustrous finish. The rectangular, vertical structure rests on two spherical feet, while the top is adorned with an openwork bow motif, characteristic of the late Victorian and early Belle Époque periods. A thick, beveled crystal glass panel ensures a clear and elegant display of the photograph, held securely in place by an internal spring mechanism. At the base, a black enamel plaque inscribed 'Henry Luneville' and surrounded by gold floral ornamentation adds a subtle historical accent. The back is fitted with a hinged brass support, designed for tabletop display. The frame is preserved in very good condition, with minimal signs of use and no visible damage or dents. This frame echoes the refinement of the fin de siècle, when decorative details became personal statements of taste. The gilded brass reflects light in a soft, boudoir-like manner, while the bow motif crowning the piece evokes the atmosphere of Parisian salons at the end of the nineteenth century—romantic yet restrained. The crystal glass, like a small mirror, captures fleeting moments, allowing the viewer to immerse themselves in the story preserved behind its finely cut surface. The frame
