This late 19th-century photo frame, crafted in France during the Napoleon III period, features a rectangular form in gilded bronze, cast and finely chased to highlight meticulous detailing. The front is covered with a beige-gold silk tapestry woven in a repeating diamond pattern with gold thread. The oval photo opening (13 × 10 cm) is bordered by a chased bronze surround adorned with laurel leaves and beaded motifs, while the top is crowned by an openwork bronze applique depicting laurel branches and ribbons. The back includes a movable stand and a hanging loop, allowing for both tabletop and wall display. The use of premium materials and precise metalwork reflects the refined craftsmanship of the era.
