This pitcher from the Steatyt porcelain factory in Katowice, dating to around 1960, exemplifies the Pop Art movement in Polish decorative arts. Made of white, glazed porcelain with a distinctive matte, textured finish, the vessel recalls organic forms: the body is bulbous, the spout wide and flared, and the handle elegantly arched and highlighted with a delicate gold stripe. The decoration features hand-painted floral motifs—stylized daisies and bellflowers in vivid summer shades of yellow, orange, red, and green, accented with white and outlined in black. The painting is asymmetrically arranged across the lower portion, and the pitcher’s surface combines a matte background with a subtle gloss on the painted elements.
