ABOUT PRODUCTID 18640
This glass pitcher, produced in the 1970s by the Prądniczanka Glassworks in Kraków, exemplifies the late modernist movement with hints of postmodernism in Polish utility glass design. Crafted using the hand-blown technique from transparent 'modre' (cobalt-blue) glass, it features a distinctive crushed texture that lends the surface a slightly irregular, artisanal character. The main color is a cool, saturated blue, showcasing a soft gradient from a lighter, subtly whitened hue at the neck to a deeper and richer shade at the base. The pitcher is marked by its bulbous, full-bodied form, tapering gracefully into a tall neck with a gently flared lip and a precisely shaped spout. The handle, also made from the same blue glass, sustains visual continuity, attached elegantly at the upper neck and just above the widest part of the vessel. Its high-gloss finish is punctuated by tiny air bubbles and minor surface irregularities—natural marks of artisanal craftsmanship.
